First Impressions and New Thumbnail
Hello alpha testers
This devlog will be a bit informal since we are just getting the hang of developing a game together as a team. With the initial launch of the Phylosplice alpha, results were much better than expected! We had quite a few users player the browser version of our game and some provided very valuable feedback. While their are several issues our team needs to address, the main one is that the instability system is not that intuitive. We've had several cases of users not being able to make the connection between the junk dna and the instability system. Our plans are to probably rid of system entirely and see if we can come up with a better way to execute a lose condition for a player.
Our plan is to have a new alpha build every week until Mid-November when we believe we'll have ironed out all the major issues for our game and have a playable demo so expect a new update either later this week or the start of next week.
In the meantime, we've made a better thumbnail for Phylosplice to help entice new prospective players into giving our game a go.
That's all for now. Stay cool, phylofolk!
